Il brand Lesca was founded by Joël LESCA who created his first collection in 1964 in a laboratory in the Secrétan district, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
From 1964 to today Lesca has hired craftsmen from different European countries, including France and Germany. Inspired by the techniques of the past, LESCA glasses are riveted and shaped according to strict specifications.
Between the 1950s and 1960s, Lesca witnessed a stylistic and creative revolution in design (furniture, fashion, architecture, etc.) but also the emergence of new industrial techniques that made it possible to mass-produce glasses (invention of cellulose acetate and development of modern eyewear factories in France).
Lesca has always favored a bold style inspired by this era, creating thick glasses that enhance the material (a style worn by Le Corbusier).
Today the second generation of the Lesca family, thanks to Joël's sons, Mathieu and Bertrand, strives to revive past collections while respecting the original DNA, valuing the history of the brand while remaining creative and modern.
Over the years Lesca has built a solid clientele of independent opticians and specialized points of sale throughout the world through careful selective distribution.
